Privacy

Pageward privacy overview

Pageward is designed as a private reading tracker. This website summarizes the user-facing privacy posture for app visitors and store reviewers.

Private shelf by design

Pageward is not built around a public follower feed. The core app experience is your own shelf, progress, notes, quotes, and recommendations.

  • No public profile is required for the core reading workflow.
  • Reading progress and taste signals are used to personalize the app experience.
  • Exports help you keep a portable copy of your library.

Permissions

Pageward asks for permissions only when they are needed for a specific workflow.

  • Camera access is used for barcode scanning.
  • Photo library access is used only when choosing a quote or book image for OCR-style workflows.
  • Microphone and broad media-library permissions are not part of the core app setup.

AI and catalog features

Some discovery and reader-tool features may use saved book context, shelf metadata, ratings, tags, or notes to produce useful results.

  • AI features should be treated as reading assistance, not authoritative book criticism.
  • Catalog and review information can depend on external sources.
  • Support can help with data or privacy questions before launch.
